Schools are already short-staffed and teachers overworked due to sub shortages and bus driver shortages. This mandate would cause an already challenged environment to reach the point where schools may be forced to close once again.
Despite the numerous challenges teachers have faced in the past 18 months due to the Corona virus, they have risen to every challenge and demonstrated time and time again their resourcefulness, their resilience, their talent and creativity and their deep love and commitment to their students and their profession. They have gone above and beyond for their “kids” as so many of them refer to their students. To require this illegal mandate upon these heros is beyond insult.  Put a stop to this mandate now.
