It is not the role of the government to dictate to me what is best for myself or my children. Vaccines and other medical marvels that improve the health of our society are borderline miraculous, but they must be chosen freely by those to whom they are offered. There is no level of government that can or cares to understand the intricacies of each families needs. As such, the burden of responsibility for making decisions based on our needs falls to us. We each are responsible for our health, for our physical and mental well-being as individuals. We have chosen to accept children into our homes and hearts, and as such have accepted the huge responsibility and duty or raising them. Not the government. Not the school board.  Where there is risk, there must be choice. And we the people (by whom, need I remind you, you are gainfully employed) demand you leave these decisions to parents.
