I have 6 questions for your consideration:

1. Is there broad consensus in the medical and scientific communities on all things COVID and the vaccine? THE ANSWER: No, far from it. There are highly esteemed doctors and scientists who differ.
2. Are the differences in the medical and scientific community minor (i.e. they all generally think the "vaccine" is a good thing, but just differ on which version is better, etc)? THE ANSWER: No, the thoughts of those who differ are diametrically opposed. Those in favor of the "vaccines" claim they are safe, effective, and necessary AND those against the "vaccines" claim they are untested, dangerous, ineffective, and unnecessary.
3. So, is the "vaccine" safe as the FDA, CDC, Biden, Trump, and many in the medical and scientific community claim? THE ANSWER: No, it is irresponsible to make such a claim if applying the same criteria the FDA and CDC have always used. In the past, a small number of reports on the VAERS reporting system (co-managed by the FDA & CDC) would be all it took to shut a vaccine down for further review. Yet, as of 10/8/21, there are over 16,766 reported deaths, 79,699 reported hospitalizations, and 798,634 reported adverse events directly related to the "vaccines." And this, according to the FDA's & CDC's own admission, only represents 1% of the actual adverse events. And VAERS only tracks US data. 
4. So, does the "vaccine" work? THE ANSWER: Perhaps on a limited basis for some people...but data from around the world shows that fully vaccinated people can both get and transmit the virus. And, cases of vaccinated people dying and reporting serious adverse reactions are skyrocketing. Just look at what is happening in Israel and the UK, two of the most highly "vaccinated" countries.
5. So, is the "vaccine" necessary? THE ANSWER: No, not for a virus that kills less than 1% of those who are infected by it...and for which we know the populations most vulnerable to it (i.e. those 70 and over and those with comorbidities)...and for which there are highly effective and proven therapeutics available that work for people of all ages and health conditions. In fact, there are esteemed doctors from around the world that have said if we simply give the proven therapeutics to everyone, COVID-19 would be completely eradicated in one month. Hyperbole? We will never know because the FDA & CDC are vilifying those doctors and therapeutics. Why? Side Note: the stats on kids getting, transmitting,  and dying from COVID are even smaller than the overall population numbers. They are miniscule. 
6. Is it ethical to force someone to put something in their body against their will...especially considering my first 5 questions? The answer: NO!!! Not only is it unethical, it is evil. This is the exact reason the world passed the Nuremberg Code in 1947, to prevent human beings from ever again being used as "lab rats" against their will...as they were in the WW2  era.

If the state of Virginia and those running Virgina public schools will be responsible and do your homework on what is shared above, there is only one conclusion you can come to -- mandating the "vaccines" for children, or anyone for that matter, is irresponsible, unethical, and dangerous. A case can even be made that it is illegal. Any deaths or adverse events that would transpire because of a decision by you to mandate the vaccine, would be on your heads and you will have blood on your hands. While you may not have to answer for your wreckless behavior here and now, one day you will be held to account.
