Before this poorly thought out proposal goes any further, please read the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Note that there is no COVID or pandemic exception to that, and the people who wrote and ratified that were no strangers to pandemics. If you go down this path, two things will happen:  a) you will have wasted tens of thousands of dollars in public funds on a case that the Supreme Court will ultimately overrule, b) others will be emboldened to chip away at other freedoms they don’t support until we ultimately have few, if any, freedoms left at all.  Do not support or consider this proposal any further.
