The agency has determined that the repeal of this regulation is appropriate because the essential elements to ensure that a consumer receives a quality sausage product are adequately covered by the regulations promulgated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (Chapter III of Title 9 Code of Federal Regulations) and by the prohibitions on adulterated and misbranded food included in the Virginia Food and Drink Law (Chapter 51 of Title 3.2of the Code of Virginia). |
