| Action Summary |
Chapter 200 of the 2021 General Assembly requires the Boards of Nursing and Medicine to promulgate regulations governing the practice of licensed certified midwives. The Code (ยง 54.1-2957.04) specifies the credential that will be considered as qualification for licensure and renewal, the requirement for a practice agreement, and the prescriptive authority for the profession. The Boards will adopt additional requirements similar to other licensed professions for a fee structure, renewal or reinstatement, continuing competency, and standards of practice. |
