General Notice: HB 2154 General Notice (Architect Training Alternative)
CLOSED Opened on 5/16/2025 and Ended on 6/17/2025
The 2025 General Assembly enacted Senate Bill 1310 and House Bill 2154, requiring the Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, Certified Interior Designers, and Landscape Architects (“the Board”) to establish work and education experience equivalencies as an alternative to a National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) accredited degree, with a minimum of 10 years qualifying work experience or education experience. This means the Board will create a regulation which will allow work experience, alternative education, and combinations thereof to substitute for an NAAB-accredited degree.
What recommendations do you have for the Board to create a work experience or education experience substitute for an NAAB-accredited degree?
