Time Waiver Request
Amend regulations for clarity and update

Since more than 180 days have passed since the end of the NOIRA stage, a Time Frame Waiver must be granted by the Governor's office.

This waiver was requested on 1/31/2014

Agency Reason: The VA Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired (DBVI) began the regulatory process of updating the Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Regulations in the year 2005. Over the course of the several years, the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) under three administrations has reviewed and made several edits to the proposed regulations. These regulations have finally been vetted, approved, and released in 2014 by the current OAG; with this approval the proposed VR regulations can go forward to the Department of Planning and Budget as the next step in the Regulatory process.

The request was removed from the Gov’s pending list and information about missed time frame deadline will now be included in the agency’s annual report about such events
