To accept a refresher course that is a dental hygiene program recognized by the ADA
and AADH for license reinstatement for experienced dental hygienists.
Agency Plan
The petition will be published on February 28, 2022 in the Register of Regulations
and also posted on the Virginia Regulatory Townhall at www.townhall.virginia.gov to
receive public comment ending March 30, 2022. The request to amend regulations and
any comments for or against the petition will be considered by the Board at the next
meeting scheduled for June 10, 2022. The petitioner will receive information on the
Board's decision after that date.

The Board considered this issue at its meeting on June 10, 2022. The Board decided
to initiate a a rulemaking to implement this requested change, as well as similar
changes to the regulations governing dentists and dental assistants II.
