FAIRFAX COUNTY WETLANDS BOARD

NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Sections 28.2-1302 of the Code of Virginia and Sections 116-1-6 of the Fairfax County Code that the Fairfax County Wetlands Board will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in Room 217 (Mount Zephyr) of the Gerry Hyland Government Center, located at 8350 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22309.

The purpose of this hearing is to discuss the Virginia Marine Resources Commission Permit 25-1784.  The property owner at 5937 River Drive, Lorton, VA 22079 seeks permit approval for tidal wetland impacts resulting from a shoreline stabilization project that includes the installation of a new bulkhead. The subject property is located on the Potomac River and generally is identified as Tax Map Reference 1222 02 0036.

The purpose of this hearing is to discuss the Virginia Marine Resources Commission Permit 23-1330.  The property owner at 9437 Ferry Landing Ct, Alexandria, VA 22309 seeks permit approval for tidal wetland impacts resulting from a shoreline stabilization project that includes the reuse and installation of riprap. The subject property is located on the Potomac River, and generally is identified as Tax Map Reference 1103 15 0012.
