Notice is hereby given that the Northampton County Wetlands Board will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, to consider and to hear public comments on two applications.
The meeting will begin at 8:00 AM with site visits to the affected properties, in the order in which the cases are listed below. The Board will reconvene at or around 10:00 AM that same morning in Board Chambers in the County Administration Building at 16404 Courthouse Road, Eastville, Virginia, for the purpose of conducting public hearings.

VMRC 2025-0540: D. Richard Felker II & Janice W. Felker are applying for a permit to construct a living shoreline consisting of oyster sills, bank grading, and coir logs & jutte mat. Vegetation will be planted in areas of disturbance. The properties are located at Lot A, 4103 & 4107 Barlow Creek Lane, Cape Charles, VA, and are further described as Tax Maps 47-4-A, 47-4-B, and 47-4-C along the shoreline of Mattawoman Creek. Approximately 5,720 square feet of non­vegetated wetlands affected.
VMRC 2025-1216: Waverly Estates POA, Inc. represented by Howard Loudin is applying for a permit to replace an existing boat ramp with a concrete launch ramp with drainage furrows. The property is located on Waverly Lane, Machipongo, VA, and is further described as Tax Map 288-2-CA along the shoreline of Hungars Creek. Approximately 1 square foot of vegetated wetlands and 620 square feet of non-vegetated wetlands affected.

The application files may be viewed in the Planning, Permitting, and Enforcement Office in the County Administration Building, Monday through Friday, between the hours of
9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
