Pursuant to subdivision A 12 of § 2.2-4006 and § 36-100 of the Code of Virginia, the Board of Housing and Community Development will hold a public hearing  on the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code (13VAC5-63), Virginia Statewide Fire Prevention Code (13VAC5-52), Virginia Amusement Device Regulations (13VAC5-31) and the Virginia Industrialized Building Safety Regulations (13VAC5-91).

At the public hearing, the Board will also receive comments regarding the Virginia Certification Standards (13VAC5-21) and the Manufactured Home Safety Regulations (13VAC5-95). Public hearings regarding these two regulations will also be held after publication of the proposed regulations as stated in the respective Notices of Intended Regulatory Action.

The purpose of the public hearing is to take public comment on updating the codes to the newest editions of the model codes and standards prior to the Board publishing the proposed regulations.
