This is a joint public notice. Notice is hereby given that the following public hearings will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 6:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Boardroom of the New Kent County Administration Building located at 12007 Courthouse Circle in New Kent, Virginia. The New Kent County Wetlands Board and the New Kent County Chesapeake Bay Board may or may not take action on the following:

Application JPA-024842-2025, submitted by Richard Bishop, Jr., for tidal wetland impacts associated with a proposed riprap revetment and slope stabilization at 420 Colony Trail (Tax Map: 52A3-3-37, GPIN: B25-3083-0825).

Application CBPA-024902-2025, submitted by Michael J. Hipple Builder, Inc. on behalf of Scott Hyland, for the construction of a detached garage within the Resource Protection Area at 2241 Old Brick Farm Road (Tax Map: 43-79D, GPIN: D20-3017-1761).

This letter serves as official notice as required by applicable laws. The Wetlands Board will conduct their business first, prior to closing and the Chesapeake Bay Board conducting their business. Questions concerning these public hearings may be directed to the Environmental Division at (804) 966-8580. All interested persons may appear and present their views at the above time and place. Copies of the applications may be viewed in the Environmental Division office during regular business hours. Anyone requiring special accommodations under the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act should call the County Administration office at (804) 966-9683 at least 24 hours in advance of the hearings. If a meeting cannot be held due to inclement weather, the meeting will be held on the next Thursday the New Kent County Offices are open.
