LANCASTER COUNTY WETLANDS BOARD

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – Pursuant to Section 28.2-1302 of the Code of Virginia, notice is hereby given to all interested parties that the Lancaster County Wetlands Board will hold a public hearing for the following Wetlands Board actions:

1. Brightwaters Property Owners Assoc., Inc., c/o SalTerra Solutions, LLC, PO Box 1744, Kilmarnock, VA 22482; requests permission to install 24 linear feet of rip rap revetment against a bulkhead along the shoreline of Windmill Point Creek. Located off VSH 695 (Windmill Point Rd) on Brightwaters Drive. Tax Map #40-14M. VMRC #24-2412.
2. Andrej Vlahcevic, c/o Roger McKinley, Sr., 691 Millpoint Drive, Heathsville, VA 22473; requests permission to install two 44 ft armor stone breakwaters for a total of 88 ft of sill and 102 cu yds of sand along a failing bulkhead located on Fleets Bay. Located off Tammy Dr which is off VSH 645 (Dungeons Thicket Rd) on Wayne Cir. Tax Map # 35G-1-20C. VMRC #24-2558.
3. Naomi Myrick c/o SalTerra Solutions, LLC, PO Box 1744, Kilmarnock, VA 22482; requests permission to install 20 linear feet of rip rap revetment against eroding bank along the eroded shoreline of Carters Creek. Located off VSH 757 (Saint Andrews Ln) on Golf Course Dr. Tax Map #27B-2-3. VMRC #24-2613.
4. Paul & Tiphanie Stefanski, c/o Bayshore Design, LLC, 8518 Cople Highway, Hague, VA 22469; requests permission to install a 355 linear ft armor stone revetment and two armor stone breakwaters (60’ and 70’) with 350 cubic yards of beach nourishment and 2,000 square feet of vegetative plantings along the shoreline of the Rappahannock River. Located off Sunset Dr which is off VSH 222 (Weems Rd) on Sandy Dr. Tax Map #33-41A. VMRC #24-2695.
5. Ann Flint Thomas Carter Trust & Trustee, c/o SalTerra Solutions, LLC, PO Box 1744, Kilmarnock, VA 22482; requests permission to install 200 linear feet of rip rap revetment against the eroding shoreline of the Western Branch Corrotoman River. Located off Browns Ln which is off VSH 611 (Hoecake Rd) on Thomas Rd. Tax Map #21-32. VMRC #24-2841.
6. Frederick H. Garbers, Jr., c/o SalTerra Solutions, LLC, PO Box 1744, Kilmarnock, VA 22482; requests permission to install 65 linear feet of rip rap revetment along the eroded bank, 107 ft of stone sill with 65 cubic yards of sand nourishment, 440 cu ft of wetlands vegetation plantings along the shoreline of the Corrotoman River. Located off VSH 604 (Ottoman Ferry Rd) on Oak Hill Rd. Tax Map #26J-1-6. VMRC #24-2825.
7. Yankee Point Marina, LLC, c/o Bryan McDearmon, Mac Bros, LLC, 388 Scoggins Creek Trail, Hartfield, VA 23071; requests permission to replace existing boat ramp with a 14 ft x 85 ft concrete ramp and install two 90 ft low profile vinyl jetties flanking the ramp, along the shoreline of the Corrotoman River. Located off VSH 604 (Ottoman Ferry Rd) on Oak Hill Rd. Tax Map #26-18. VMRC #24-2369.

The public hearing will convene at 9:30 a.m. on January 9, 2025 in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room. Interested members of the public will be able to participate in the meeting from their computer, tablet, smartphone, regular phone or in person. The weblink, phone number and access code will be published on the County website, www.lancova.com at least three days prior to the meeting as required.
Wetlands Board members will inspect sites on January 7, 2025 sometime between 9:00 a.m. and noon. Information on the above actions is on file in the Building/Land Use Office at the County Administration Office.
