Closing Explanation
CMS required Virginia to file a state plan page incorporating freestanding birthing centers. The state plan page that Virginia filed with CMS stated that there are no licensed or approved freestanding birthing centers in Virginia. As a result, there were no coverage changes, and there was no need for a VAC change.
