I am strongly against allowing physical therapists to perform dry needling. Even doctors are required to get several hundred hours of training. Acupuncturistts are trained in this and have several thousand hours of training. PTS don't learn it on school and take a weekend workshop to do it...which is a huge public safety issue. Please do not approve dry needling for physical therapists. I would hate to see people's lungs and organs being punctured because a physical therapist is doing this aggressive style of needling without enough training.
