I have been referring patients to physical therapist for dry needling for the last five years, and I've had great outcomes in both improved function and decrease pain as well as patient satisfaction. A collaborative relationship between the therapist and communication with the physician makes this a very useful modality that therapists are more than qualified to perform as evidenced by patient's results.
