Action | 2015 Voter Registration Application Regulation and Form Update |

I am opposed to the the Board of Elections proposed changes to the voter application form that allows the processing of voter registration applications with omissions about felony convictions or citizenship. This has the appearance of a backdoor method to allow voter fraud. Decisions like this about the required information for processing an application should be made by the General Assembly, not by Election Board administrators. Registering to vote should require applicants to fill out the form completely and accurately. The same should be expected for those who process the information on the forms. Doing half the job shouldn't be the standard for the applicant or the government.
