Permanent Abortion Facility Regulations Help Protect Women’s Health

I strongly support the current regulations on abortion centers approved overwhelmingly by the Board of Health.  These regulations should be made permanent and continue to include the strongest standards.  The current regulations are reasonable, common-sense measures to ensure that life-saving equipment is on hand, infections are prevented, and clear written policies and building guidelines are in place.  That anyone opposes these meaures is astounding.  Those involved in the abortion industry claim to pro-woman.  How can they possibly make that claim and then oppose reasonable measures that help keep women physically safe?  Abortion is a surgical procedure and should not receive a "pass" on safety simply because those involved in performing the procedure do not want reasonable oversight.  This is not a measure to restrict access to abortion and the opposition from those in the abortion industry is unjustifiable.

Please maintain strong permanent abortion facility regulations to protect the health and safety of women.
