Stop Overregulation and Big Government - SB 924

It is amazing to me that these reuglations seek to overregulate abortion providers, acting as if these stricter regulations are for women's safety, when I was able to get much more risky oral surgery in my dentist's office, and nobody is seeking to force dentists' offices to register as Ambulatory Surgical Centers.

First-trimester abortions remain one of the safest and most common of all in-office surgical procedures. Abortion should not be regulated differently than other outpatient procedures that do not trigger these kinds of strict regulations. Final permanent regulations should be based in medicine, not politics.

Overregulation will limit access to a wide range of preventive reproductive health care services provided by women's health clinics, including life-saving cancer screenings, family planning, and sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment.
