The abortion industry is firmly opposed to any legal measure that might interfere with its profits. There are appalling conditions in some abortion facilities. Is the abortion lobby SO powerful that it can keep these facilities immune from scrutiny indefinitely? How many more women must be injured or killed before the public realizes that legalization of abortion did not make it safer? Are we so obsessed with the 'sacred right of choice' that we are willing to overlook the fact that today's legal abortion facilities are just as dangerous to women as the back-alley abortion mills of years past? I strongly urge that the TRAP regulations remain in place.
