Virginia's public schools are among the best in the nation.  It is our schools and the restrained skilled workforce that contribute to high rankings for business friendliness.  ( see CNBC).  This said, this plan is designed to artificially lower school ratings and then justify a state takeover by those trying to undermine public education. By the way, public schools are on the state constitution… and for all of the right reasons. 

This politically motivated  plan favors school privatization, while bypassing the legislature and ignoring the real needs of our students and educators. 

Schools should be under local control and we should reject efforts toward privatization. As a Fairfax County taxpayer, and a huge supporter of our public school system, I REALLY DO NOT support privatization.
