TRAP Laws

For too long this nation has legitimised the lack of freedom for woman to do with their own bodies in the name of religious or political morality, which often times is clearly motivated by religious views. The fact that if men were placed in the same situation of having our reproductive process and bodies so heavily legislated there would be a public outcry accross the board that would deafen all other news disgusts me that this outcry isn't being expressed for women's right. Furthermore, these TARP laws need to take into account that these same clinics that provide abortion services also provide a number of other preventative procedures for cancer and other health issues that a portion of the population simply can't afford at a conventional hospital. If moralities were really an issue, I think that keeping people from affordable healthcare is something that we now and should forever hold as a an unfortunate scar on our history of things to be regretful of in terms of how we treat one another.
