TARP regulations are desperately needed

How can anyone object to decent sanitary and access regulations for abortion clinics -- similar to those already required for ANY outpatient facility that performs surgical procedures?

Those who put their profit above the safety and health of all women are attempting to change the terms of the conversation.  Instead of addressing the issues, they attack supporters of reasonable regulation on the grounds that we are prompted by our personal beliefs.  Never mind that THEIR attacks are based on THEIR personal opinions and selfish interests!

The safety and cleanliness regulations under consideration are good for all women.  Fighting against them appears motivated by ugly contempt for patients and their families, combined with a desire to keep on treating women in unsanitary and unsafe conditions while milking them for maximum profit with total disregard of their health.

Even when given advance notice of inspections, these clinics have repeatedly failed.  It is time for the state to protect the women and girls of Virginia by requiring facilities to measure up to the reasonable, basic standards set forth here.
