Medical safety standards need to be legislated and enforced - the industry will not self-regulate

Please uphold the proposed safety regulations on abortion facilities. Anyone who opposes them is clearly not interested in promoting the health of women. What makes abortion so sacred that normal healthcare standards for an invasive major surgery should even be questioned?  The bunk about causing costs to rise for low-income women is just that - bunk.  The logical conclusion to that hypothesis is that it is OK to have unsterilized medical equipment and no access for emergency personnel for these women as long as she can get a cheap abortion.  After all, the woman is as expendible as the child to those who would deny her these safety regulations.  There is no logical or medical reason that abortion facilities should not be regulated by the same medical safety standards as any other medical facility, in-patient or out-patient.
