New regulations for women's health centers that provide abortion care.

These regulations are NOT for the safety, protection and welfare of the citizens of Virginia but are simply politically driven regulations designed to subvert the laws and freedoms of this land.  The politicians responsible for these regulations use regulations as tools, limiting them or increasing them, to benefit their political will and financial gain.

These regulations threaten the fair implementation of laws that provide for the continued availability of safe, legal first-trimester abortion and preventive reproductive health care.

These regulations are burdensome requirements for clinic buildings that are unrelated to the services provide and have no proven medical benefit and will reduce or eliminate patient access to health care.  These regulations will increase the financial costs of health care for patients, with no proven medical benefit to patients.

Abortion in current facilities is one of the safest medical procedures. If denied these services, abortions will still be performed but in unregulated locations, illegally and again, due to these regulations, (illegal) abortions will again become a leading cause of death and sickness of woman.

It is my hope that the regulations will be amended to be based purely on medicine and science and should not impede women's access to essential health care.
