Guidance Document Change: The guidance document "Model Policies Concerning Instructional Materials with Sexually Explicit Content" was developed in conjunction with stakeholders in order to comply with SB656 (2022).
There are already plenty of opportunities for parents in Virginia to know their child’s curriculum and to opt their child out of any lessons they desire. We do not need a specific additional carve out for “sexually explicit material.”
