Description These regulations provide the requirements for Virginia's early intervention services system that are designed to protect the health, safety, and welfare of children with disabilities from birth through the age of two and their families to assure access to appropriate early intervention services.

Periodic Review Note This action was a significant overhaul to conform Virginia’s regulations to the federal IDEA Part C regulations 9/28/2011, adopted via emergency regulations on 12/29/2014, and fast-track eff. 2/27/16.
