Description This regulation addresses a legislative mandate from the 2004 General Assembly (SB 260/Chapter 679). It directs VDOT to promulgate comprehensive roadside management program regulations to address the following items: opportunities for participation by individuals, communities, and local governments;safety;landscape materials; services; funding;recognition; and appropriate signing. The legislation also allows some agency discretion for other pertinent issues to be addressed besides the ones listed.
