Description of Proposed Guidance Document Changes
Revisions are being made to the Division of Rehabilitation Services’ (DRS) Policy and Procedure Manual to address the impact of legalization of marijuana as it pertains to counseling and guidance and working with establishing employment goals with DRS clients. This is due to legislation that was passed by the 2021 General Assembly Session that allows adults 21 years and older to use marijuana in private residences and adults 21 and over to be allowed to grow up to four plants per household. The DRS Policy Manual is also revised to address workplace violence by third parties. Finally, technical changes are being made in the vehicle modification, home modification, and closure chapters.
