Description of Proposed Guidance Document Changes
The Virginia Petroleum Storage Tank Fund Reimbursement Guidance Manual, Volume VI establishes procedures for claimants and consultants to follow for requesting reimbursement from the Virginia Petroleum Storage Tank Fund for reasonable and necessary costs associated with cleaning up a petroleum release. This guidance applies to corrective action phases begun on or after August 1, 2019. Volume VI also provides for electronic submittals of reimbursement claims. This Volume only applies to work performed in corrective action phases begun on or after August 1, 2019. Work performed before this date will be governed by earlier versions of this guidance which remain in effect. Earlier versions of the Reimbursement Guidance Manual can be accessed at https://www.deq.virginia.gov/Programs/LandProtectionRevitalization/PetroleumProgram/GuidanceRegulations.aspx under the heading “Reimbursement Guidance – Manuals/Usual and Customary Rates”.
