Leave Lee Monument alone and Monument ave Respect the fallen dead the historical status & the Law

These Monuments are on the national historic registry  They are a major destination for people all over the world  to  the city of Richmond  Think about how many millions of  tourism dollars would be lost city wide , not to mention those of us who would boycott the city  forever

There is so much that could be accomplished in Richmond with all these funds The questions is where are they going ? Not to the school s pot holes good works for those in need …

I m signing because They are part of our American history It can t be erased and pretend it didn t happen   These monuments were paid for by the mothers and relatives left behind to survive the brutal reconstruction but still managed  to raise money so that they could remember one day a year or have a place to visit  their father son brother who was killed his body never returned home To have a place to in peace  think and remember them and their sacrifice to keep their home county/state  safe from the invasion destruction of property town, crops, rape murder of the Northern soldiers Under the command of Grant the butcher and slave owner even during the war and Sherman who had no empathy for the women and children left behind starved and burned bombed and killed them in his path of destruction But lastly and a most important point for modern day and this applies to other cities such as Baltimore , Durham , Charlottesville,  Richmond ,etc    What has this accomplished ?Has the inner cities  issue been solved ? Has it magically  cured  all there ill wills and poverty ,joblessness and dependence on free programs welfare and other programs that are ill used  They suffer under the current and past and yes in most case Democrats administrations please refer the  current state of affairs in  city of  New O leans the monument parks are over grown and eye sore as before maintained  and manicured for free by Monument assc.  New O spent millions  ,around 2 million plus, on removal What other good that money could have done the pumps recent flooding updated I m sure so many other practical uses that money could have done for the city The people of these cities are being appease and they don’t even know it..  And the next most important questions where does the end the bowing down to these protest groups ,most not even from the cites They have won this but will move on to the next agenda items We have lost who we are” The United States” A proud patriotic  and Honorable people Who in the worst of times healed our wounds and or stood together and banded together to accomplish great deeds for all

Make you great deeds about helping your city and it citizens!   Not your political aspirations!
