General Information
Action Summary The Board of Nursing has amended 18VAC90-50-10 et seq., Regulations Governing the Licensure of Massage Therapists to change cites referencing certification to licensure, eliminate one examination for licensure, and include a requirement for a criminal background check. The amendments conform regulations to changes made to the Code of Virginia by passage of HB562 in the 2016 General Assembly (Chapter 324).

Executive Branch Review This Action is exempt from Article 2 of the Administrative Process Act. The normal executive branch review process is not required. As such, it can be submitted directly for publication and is effective upon publication.
