Conversion therapy has no basis in science, it was made up by people who were scared of other people who may be different  from them. Mental illnesses like anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders etc. are actual mental ilness, being gay is not. Being a member of the LBGTQ community does not make you harmful to yourself or others, there. Is nothing to cure.
