Conversion therapy is pseudoscientific and ineffective. Homosexuality is no longer considered a disorder of mental health and therefore the "therapeautic" aspect of conversion practices is void. The practice targets minorities and children. It has been shown to be ineffective in its goal and to increase suicidal ideation as well as trauma in subjects.
