Being LGBTQ is not a choice, its how we were born, the only thing that majes it seem like a choice is society's negative view toward us. If there are any mental health issues in the LGBTQ community, they are caused by society thinking everybody should be like them and forcing them to be something they are not, I'm living proof. Accept your children for how they are and accept/ respect the rest of us and there wont be any mental health issues.
