The Civil War has been over for 150 years.  We all know who won. General Sherman upon seeing Savannah elected not to destroy it because it was so beautiful.  I feel that way about Monument Avenue.  You can't change history but you can bring it up to date.  Add placques and new monuments curated to reflect the proper sentiments  Don't be like Isis and destroy anything historic. It may be a challenge to satisfy some but it can be done.
