Rather than remove monuments that uneducated residents do not like, propose a competition to add new monuments in other areas of monument avenue that honor worthy historical figures or groups. This place makes Richmond so special and it can be added to in a respectful way that helps the avenue to tell the full story of American and Virginian history. Give into the mob’s demands and we will soon see demands for all of our country to be remodeled in the image they decide is appropriate. SAVE OUR HISTORY
