There is zero medical necessity for TRAP. Abortion in the first trimester of pregnancy is safe and has no impact on a woman’s ability to conceive or carry a subsequent pregnancy to term. This is intrusion into a very private decision that should be shared among a woman, her partner (if appropriate), and her physician. TRAP will reduce access to safe healthcare. It’s a travesty with no basis in science.  Focus and funding should be on preventing unwanted pregnancy and supporting women who are pregnant and do not want an abortion.
