Strongly Opposed

I am a counselor-in-training and Masters Mental Health counseling student living in the DMV. As a person who lives within a five-mile from the Virginia State Line, it is prudent for me to have the flexibiity and portability access to service clients in Virginia. Maryland LPC accreditation is more stringent than Virginia, therefore I would not have to incur cost of taking more courses to meet the Virginia LPC licensure. With the need for counseling service in the underservice African American community, this legislation with impede the availablity of qualified counselors.
