I support the NCLEP, it not only removes barriers associated with counselor licensure portability, but also gives us fair footing with other professions (Such as social work). The social work boards often have reciprocity with other states that we as counselors do not. I think that this, along with the CACREP requirement really makes our profession look more l “professional”
