From what I understand the ACA has a portability plan that is inclusive of all counselors. I believe that a national standard, perhaps met through a national ciriculum should afford a national licensing process. Although CACREP might be the way to achieve that end it seems at this point that this legislature could negatively effect through discrimination a large portion of individuals beginning with those currently in school to those currently practicing. Bravo to your beautiful state for having the courage to make moves in an area that is in great need of revision but I do not feel that this proposition is the answer.
