I am fortunate enough to be employed by Solar Services, Inc for the last 18 years. During this time I have learned that most everyone would love to have solar on their home or business to help lower their electric bill or to help the environment. Some of the first questions I am usually asked is how long is my payback or what is my return on investment.  Net metering helps the customer reduce their payback time and is important to the customers and solar companies like Solar Services. Without net metering many consumers would not purchase solar. With the 30% federal tax credit going to start being reduced in the  we need a good energy plan in place to protect the future of solar. A good energy plan will protect the consumers and also many jobs.
