Permitting Assistant

Support Rooftop  Solar In Virginia's Energy Plan!

I'm a permitting assistant for Sigora Solar, which is the largest provider of residential solar in Virginia. I have worked for Sigora going on three months and it has been an incredible company to work for. Though, I might only be applying for permits and so forth I know I am making a difference for our state and well the world. Knowing more and more people are turning to solar power instead of main stream energy is very encouraging. I love knowing that working for Sigora Solar means helping slow the progress of global warming, by making sure solar systems make it on the roofs of Virginians. Despite many obstacles put in place to slow the growth of Solar our company still continues to fight and get solar out there. Policies like net metering are crucial to the growth of my company AND solar in Virginia.  Arbitrary limits to net metering, the existence of standby charges for residential systems and residential system size limitations inhibit my company's economic success and viability and precludes our potential customers the opportunity to participate in the solar revolution in a meaningful capacity. We will all benefit from a cleaner and healthier electric infrastructure system. The Earth will thank us for rooftop solar because they help off put the empact of carbon emmissions. I respectfully urge you to expand rooftop solar in Virginia to create well-paying jobs, build clean local energy in our communities and give consumers energy choice and freedom.  We need more jobs and these are the kind of jobs Virginian's support. As a Virginian I know nature is close to my heart and solar helps keep that nature pristine!

Thank You!
