Rooftop solar power systems redcue demand at the source

In late 2014 a local company installed a fourteen panel solar energy system on part of my roof.  This small system has cut my electricity usage by more than 50%.  The electricity generated by my system meets the closest demand first eliminating the demand before it reaches the grid.  Widespread use of rooftop solar will dramatically reduce the demand for centralized power generation which burns fossil fuels. Because the roofs already exist, adding solar panels does not affect natural growth or rain water run-off.  Every fututre plan for clean energy should call for greatly expanded use of rooftop solar energy systems.
