Disruptions have happened for centuries. The automobile replaced the horse in cities in 13 years. Digital cameras replaced film in 12 years. I-phones, gps and the list goes on. We are at the beginning of two major disruptions, energy & transportation. These disruptions will happen much faster than the 'experts' wold predict. When industry leaders fail to see a disruption coming how can a politician be expected to be ahead of the curve, but that is exactly what has to happen or we all will pay for that lack of insight.
