We need to move (and move rapidly) toward the future and not continue to be tied to a fossil fuel past.

Stranded assets like pipelines and gas plants are the restults of poor planning - proven technologies such as solar and wind turbines are a big part of the future... our future. We can do better!

There are many areas in government, such as on State property, where improvements in energy efficiency and solar would provide big dividends. Lets start thinking and making electric vehicle facilities a reality, too.

In fact, just a slight push toward making rooftop solar more affordable would create local jobs; build clean, local energy in our communities; help reduce energy bills; provide peak load power; and give consumers energy choice.

Future legislation needs to take more than Dominion and the electrical coopetratives position's into account.

I look forward to the new Energy Plan for Virginia and the incorporation of citizens' comments and suggestions, and as I said before, We Can Do Better!
