I support the Petition

The rights specified in the Bill of Rights should be applicable everywhere especially in a state forest.

I have to wonder if our politicians actually know what our constitution and bill of rights stipulate regarding a right to LIFE, LIBERTY,  the pursuit of happiness, and surely the right to have the ability to defend oneself or one's loved ones if one of the amendments to our nation's constitution has been rendered null and void for so long in the Commonwealth.

Vote yes on this petition to restore the Bill of Rights even to those in our Commonwealth's forests.

We all know that those that are bent on disobeying the law will not be stopped by the current regulation, so this is just yet another victim disarmament law that needs to be removed.

Those students at Virginia Tech weren't protected by the signs and legislation preventing them from legally carrying a sidearm, and likewise visitors to the state forest won't be protected by the current legislation.
