Citizens should be able to protect themselves and their families, while enjoying the Forest.  Dangers in the forest can include predatory animals, and criminals.  This is the best way to avoid people being victimized by crime, or being mauled.  It it is a wild environment that is difficult to police or protect the people who want to enjoy the forests, so it is refreshing that the citizens of Virginia want to excercise their 2cnd Ammendment rights responsibly, and to take some of the burden off of the already overtaxed Park Rangers.  People wanting to take responsiblity for their own security is a noble endeavor.
