Do not require assistants to live outside

L'Arche is a home where people with and without intellectual disabilities live together. What makes L'Arche stand out as an organization is that "care-takers" and "care-givers" live in the same place. This act breaks down the barrier between the people who receive care and people who give care. In other words, instead of treating people with intellectual disabilities as patients, it promotes the idea that people with intellectual disabilities can live just like any other assistants and that they can share lives and hobbies with assistants as friends and as a family. I strongly believe that this recognizes the human dignity of people with intellectual disabilities and that such organization should be an example for others.
